Basic First Aid was created to help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. Includes First Aid. Adult CPR AED and optional child and infant CPR AED.
The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is consistent with recommendations of the 2020 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA's best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace. It is also designed to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive.
It is intended for persons who do not work in the healthcare field, but are occupationally required or desire to have CPR knowledge and skills. Typical students include emergency response teams in businesses, school bus drivers, trainers in health clubs, adult residential caregivers, teachers, parents and babysitters.
The length of this class is approximately 4-5 hours. Two-year ASHI certification card provided upon successful completion.
